Early Life and Bio of Saad Bin Laden
Although many people know him as Saad Bin Laden, his birth name is Saad Bin Osama bin Muhammad bin Awad bin Laden. He was born in 1979 but the exact birthdate is not known. He was born in Jeddah into the wealthy Bin Laden family.
Saad’s paternal grandmother was a Syrian national by the name Hamida al-Atlas. He is mainly known for being one of the sons of Osama bin Laden. Notably, Iranian government reported that they put him under house arrest following the 9/11 attack.
Saad Bin Laden was a terrorist and being the son of Osama bin Laden, this was expected as he followed in his father’s footsteps. For instance, he was implicated in the bombing of a Tunisian synagogue on April 11 2002. The bombing led to the death of 19 people.
He was then implicated for the suicide bombing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in May 12, 2003, and the Morocco bombing that followed four days later. However, his family denied his involvement in the attacks.
After the 9/11 attack, Saad fled to Iran where he was captured and put under house arrest. However, the U.S. Intelligence officials confirmed that he had escaped and fled to hide in Pakistan. They confirmed so through the letters that he shared with his brother. Besides, his sister had also escaped and gone to hide in Saudi Arabia.
Saad Bin Laden’s Death
Reports of Saad’s death was reported on July 22, 2009 by the National Public Radio. The report stated that he had been killed by a CIA administered unmanned aerial vehicle strike in Pakistan.
Although different reports gave contradicting details, including saying that he was alive and unhurt, it was eventually confirmed that he had been killed.

Osama bin Laden was the father of Saad bin Laden. He was born on march 10, 1957 and he died on May 2, 2011. Osama was a Saudi Arabian-born Islamist and a militant leader. His reputation was for being the founder and the first general emir of al-Qaeda.
He was a pan-Islamist who participated in the Afghan jihad against the Soviet Union. He was notorious for declaring war against the Americans in 1996. He then went on to advocate attacks targeting U.S. assets in several countries.
It was these actions that put him on the radar of the U.S. Intelligence and military who hunted him down for years and eventually killed him.
